The third financial quarter proved successful for the telecommunications, IT, and entertainment company Elisa Eesti, with revenue growing by 4.9%. This year, Elisa’s revenue reached 58 million euros, compared to 55 million euros at the same time last year. The most significant development of the quarter was Elisa’s agreement to acquire the IT services company PRO IT Teenused, taking a major step in expanding its business client operations.
According to Elisa Eesti CEO Andrus Hiiepuu, companies are increasingly dependent on digital technology, which in turn raises expectations for the reliability and security of digital infrastructure. “Elisa’s next major leap will take place in the business client sector, where we are moving from a traditional telecommunications company to a strategic digital infrastructure partner. The agreement to acquire PRO IT gives a significant boost to this goal,” said Hiiepuu.
“At the same time, we continue to invest in improving the quality of Estonia’s best-rated 5G network, enhance our cybersecurity capabilities, and contribute to the creation of domestic original content to offer our customers the best value in communications services, security, and digital entertainment.”
Elisa strengthened its position in the IT services market
In August, Elisa announced an agreement to acquire PRO IT Teenused, an IT services company with nearly 20 years of experience. The acquired company’s expertise complements Elisa’s existing capabilities and enables the provision of more comprehensive solutions for business clients, including communications and network services, IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity. This, in turn, means that companies can receive more services from a single partner, reducing the need to coordinate multiple service providers and simplifying IT system management and development.
5G network upgrades reached the final stage
Aiming to improve mobile internet speed, coverage, and connection reliability, Elisa expanded its 5G network in the third quarter by adding 5G capability to a total of 94 base stations. By the end of September, the company had completed network upgrades in 14 counties, and by October, all base stations in Estonia had received 5G network support.
Ookla recognized Elisa’s 5G network as Estonia’s fastest and best 5G network for the third consecutive measurement period in the first half of 2026. This recognition demonstrates the results of the company’s consistent network investments.
Elisa continued to protect customers from digital threats
In the third quarter, Elisa continued to protect its customers from increasingly diverse digital threats. Elisa Netivalvur blocked 164 million cyber threats during the quarter—more than twice as many as in the previous quarter, when 80.6 million threats were blocked. In addition, Elisa blocked nearly 718,000 scam calls.
Elisa continues to develop its cybersecurity solutions to prevent fraud and protect customers from both scam calls and online threats.
Elisa’s original content received international attention
The feature film “Meie Erika,” produced with Elisa’s participation, was announced as Estonia’s candidate for the Best International Feature Film Oscar. This recognition affirms Elisa’s contribution to the development of domestic film and series production.
In August, Elisa introduced its original series’ autumn season. In September, the travel show “Suur seiklus” and the second season of the series “Täiuslik sõbranna” premiered, and the talk show “Rollist väljas,” hosted by Karl-Erik Taukar, was announced.
As of the end of the third quarter of 2026, Elisa had 695,000 mobile customers, 111,000 fixed internet connections, and 144,000 TV customers.
