What changed in the Microsoft 365 license terms in March 2022?

Starting from 01.03.2022, Microsoft changed the service terms for licenses sold to businesses, including billing principles.
There are packages with a 1-month or 1-year term. The number of licenses cannot be reduced or the service terminated during the fixed period, but the number of licenses can be increased.
The term is automatically renewed, meaning that at the end of one fixed period, a new term immediately applies.
The term is calculated separately for each package from the moment of joining. Additional licenses for the same package do not change the original term.
