You can join Mobile-ID
in Elisa self-service
or at the nearest
Elisa store
. You can join the Mobile-ID service with a valid document as a member of the board or as an adult user of the number. The contract can only be made in your own name. The contract cannot be made in the name of another person – such as your employee, spouse, or other number user, except if you are the official guardian of that person – for a child aged 7-17 or an adult who is legally incapacitated.
To sign the contract, you need a valid:
ID card (in self-service or at the store).
Estonian passport (only at the store). A contract cannot be signed with a foreign passport.
Digital ID together with Estonian citizen's passport (only at the store).
You can activate the Mobile-ID service in Elisa self-service.
You can activate Mobile-ID as follows:

to Elisa self-service
If you have access to multiple customer numbers, select the customer number for which you want to order the additional service.
From the main menu, select “Services and devices”.
Select the number to which you want to add the additional service.
Find the Mobile-ID service in the additional services selection and click the “Order service” button.
Fill in all required fields
To sign the contract at the store, a written, digitally signed authorization should be sent in advance to the business customer service address ariklient@elisa.ee, at least 1 working day ahead.
To join via self-service, you should assign the user either full authorization or service management rights:
Log in
to Elisa self-service
From the main menu, select “Users and rights”.
Select a suitable user or add a new one.
Go to the view "Additional rights for the number".
To assign the right, tick the option "Order Mobile-ID service".
In the same view, it is also possible to assign the first and last name and personal identification code to the number user. To do this, go to the top of the page. The number user's data is necessary so that the user can sign a Mobile-ID contract in self-service or at the store.
All devices support the Mobile-ID service except the following models:
Nokia 3110, Nokia 5110, Nokia 6110, Nokia 6150, Nokia N900;
Motorola F3,
LG Nexus 4,
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
Special cases with certain models:
Sony Ericsson P900 – after each power off and on, you need to briefly open the Mobile-ID menu.
Sony Ericsson K800i – before using the service, a phone software update is required.
Apple iPad and iPad 2 tablets – the service can be used, but PIN codes cannot be changed.
With Qtek, HTC, and some other devices with Android operating system, you need to open the Mobile-ID menu before each Mobile-ID operation and leave it open on the screen.
NB! Elisa does not guarantee the functioning of Mobile-ID in devices not purchased from Elisa (e.g., devices ordered from China, etc.).

If you are a Dual-SIM device user
(with two SIM card slots), make sure that the other SIM card is not currently active. The Elisa SIM card associated with Mobile-ID should always be kept in slot number 1 or ensure that SMS messages are sent by default via the card associated with Mobile-ID.
If you are abroad, messages may move a bit slower. If you have moved from one country to another and cannot get a proper network connection, restart your device.
Try restarting the device.
Try your SIM card in another device. This way, you can rule out that the issue is not related to a specific device.
Mobile-ID service certificates are valid for up to 5 years.
To continue using the service, you need to order a new SIM card. After receiving the SIM card, you need to terminate the old Mobile-ID contract and make a new contract. All this can be conveniently done in Elisa self-service. SIM card replacement involves a one-time fee of €10.99 (including VAT).
Note!
When you change the Mobile-ID SIM card and sign a new Mobile-ID contract, the Mobile-ID codes also change. The new Mobile-ID codes can be found on your SIM card packaging. If necessary, you can change the codes in your device under Mobile-ID management by selecting "Change codes".
The number user can terminate their Mobile-ID service in self-service under “Services and Devices”. Select the mobile number for which the Mobile-ID contract is signed, go to the “Additional services” section and click the “Terminate service” button.
The contract owner or fully authorized person can terminate the number user's Mobile-ID service based on a digitally signed application, by sending the application to the email address kirjad@elisa.ee. In the application, indicate from which mobile number the Mobile-ID service should be terminated. For signing, ID card, Mobile-ID, or Smart-ID are suitable.
